1. You definitely have to see Budapest! Even if you plan to go to the lake or the mountains anyway. A 4-hour city tour and a free afternoon in the city center will surely be a lasting memory! (If you need a tour guide, write me an email)
2. Do you want a lake shore? Answer Balaton. The southern coast is partyier, more colorful, noisier (and the water here is shallower, this is important information with small children). Recommended cities: Lelle, Boglár, Földvár. The northern coast is quieter and calmer. With beautiful mountains. Recommended cities: Füred, Szepezd.
3. Do you want to go to the mountains? Answer the Guard! Foliage of trees, silence and peace await. Recommended cities: Felsőmarác, Kisrákos, Nemesnép.
4. You can book accommodation using booking.com and the Airbnb app, people working in tourism usually speak English. (If you need help in another language, write me an email).
5. Hungary's currency is the forint, but in most places you can pay with euros and cards. There are banks in most small settlements, but in Budapest approx. You will find one every 10 meters.
6. Public safety in Budapest is good, so if you are traveling with a teenager and want to go out alone in the evening for a walk, you will probably be fine.
7. In Hungary, children are thought of in many places: changing rooms, baby feeding chairs are available in many places (although unfortunately not everywhere), and there are also many playhouses and playgrounds.
8. In Hungary, the emergency number is 112.
9. Public transport in Budapest is quite good (use Google Maps, it helps!), it is difficult to drive in the city center only because it is difficult to park and there are narrow streets. But if you are not in Budapest, it is definitely more convenient to travel by car.

11. In summer, the weather is warm (25-35 degrees) and the sun is strong (factor 50 cream is recommended for children). But sometimes it rains, so it's worth preparing several clothes!
