If you're in Budapest for the first time and have no idea where to stay and what to look for, here are some tips!
TIME: DO NOT procrastinate! I'm sharing this in January, but for example, there's hardly any accommodation available in the city for the Hungaroring F1 season (21-23 July).
TRANSPORTATION: DO NOT ignore how you get around! If you are moving your tourist group in a big bus or doing activities by car, any of the outer districts might be good, but if you will be walking or using public transport, stay close to the Danube and the Parliament.
SEARCH: Try NOT to search online, but rely on the sites you know! Booking.com or the AIRBNB app are very helpful and you can use them in your own language with filters set.
NOISE : NEVER forget that the city centre is a great choice if you want to be close to the sights of Budapest or go for a walk along the Danube in the evening, but this part is very noisy. People are partying and there are as many cars as daytime.
PRICE: DO NOT want everything at once! If you want cheap accommodation, be prepared for old-style furnishings or being far from the city centre. But if you don't have a problem with these, you can find accommodation at a very good price.
If you already have accommodation in Budapest, it's also worth asking for a guide, as it's difficult to work out which sights in Budapest to see when and how. Contact: budapestmylove@gmail.com
